Art and design have always been central to my life. From an early age, creativity was simply part of how I spent my time—taking art classes, sewing pillows and clothing, making jewelry, and experimenting with hands-on projects at home. I even painted murals on my bedroom walls long before that kind of self-expression was commonplace. Creativity wasn’t something I pursued deliberately; it was something I lived with naturally.
In high school, I discovered photography and developed a deep appreciation for composition, storytelling, and detail. That interest carried through my time at the University of Georgia, where I served as a photographer for the Pandora yearbook staff. While there, I pursued a degree in Marketing, drawn to the balance between creative thinking and strategic problem-solving.
After graduation, I obtained my real estate license, which allowed me to combine my marketing background, design sensibility, and interest in homes in a very hands-on way. Working in real estate gave me a strong foundation in how homes function—not just aesthetically, but practically—and taught me how to guide clients through complex, often emotional decisions with clarity and care.
Over the past several years, I have worked professionally as an interior designer, refining my process and deepening my expertise. I formalized this path by earning my Interior Design Certificate from the Heritage School of Interior Design in Colorado, where I gained the technical training needed to design spaces that are both functional and thoughtfully considered.
Today, my work is grounded in the belief that good design should support the way people actually live. As a wife and mother of two, I understand the importance of creating spaces that feel comfortable, livable, and personal—homes that work just as well on busy weekdays as they do during moments of rest and connection.
At the core of my approach is collaboration and clear communication. I take time to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and translate my clients’ ideas into cohesive, intentional designs. Whether working through a full-service project or offering focused consulting, my goal is always the same: to create a process that feels supportive, well-organized, and genuinely enjoyable, resulting in spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply lived-in.

Design has always been part of my life. Growing up with an architect mother, I was surrounded by conversations about floor plans, flow, and how a space should feel. Design has always been part of my life. Growing up with an architect mother, I was surrounded by conversations about floor plans, flow, and how a space should feel. I spent my childhood imagining dream homes and exploring every kind of artistic outlet I could, from drawing and painting to ceramics and sewing. In college, I found my way to costume design, where I fell in love with the idea of communicating emotion and story through visual details, a theme that carries into my work in interior design today.
After earning my BA in Psychology from Lawrence University, I spent several years in business consulting doing culture and strategy work. While I gained valuable business experience, I missed the creative spark. Interior design became the perfect blend of my skills, an opportunity to combine empathy, problem-solving, and visual storytelling to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
I earned my Master Certificate in Interior Design from the Heritage School of Interior Design in Denver and now support Tandem Design Group across both design and business functions. My work spans everything from drafting and rendering to leading marketing initiatives that help tell our studio’s story.
At the heart of my approach is a desire to listen closely, stay curious, and design spaces that feel deeply personal and intuitive. Outside of work, you can usually find me reading a good book or spending time with my nephews.
