Art and design have always played a pivotal role in my life. From a young age, I immersed myself in creative pursuits, refining my skills through art classes and exploring various crafts at home, such as sewing pillows and clothing, making jewelry, and experimenting with different DIY projects. My bedroom walls even became my canvas, where I painted murals long before they became a trend. After discovering photography in high school, I developed a deep passion for the medium, which continued to flourish during my time at the University of Georgia, where I served as a photographer for the Pandora yearbook staff.
While at the University of Georgia, I pursued a degree in Marketing, recognizing the opportunity to combine both my creative and analytical strengths. As part of my coursework, I took a Real Estate class, which sparked an interest in the industry and led me to obtain my Real Estate license after graduation. In my real estate career, I leveraged my marketing expertise, creative vision, and passion for design to help clients buy, sell, and transform their homes. This hands-on experience in the home industry provided a strong foundation for my later work in interior design.
Over the past five years, I have worked professionally as an interior designer, further honing my skills and expanding my knowledge. My career was formalized when I earned my Interior Design Certificate from the Heritage School of Interior Design in Colorado. This advanced training provided me with the technical expertise and tools required to successfully design functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
My design philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that a well-designed space enhances both functionality and beauty, making a positive impact on daily life. As a wife and mother of two children, I understand the importance of creating environments that support family life and provide a sense of comfort and well-being. I am passionate about crafting spaces that are both unique and reflective of each client’s personal style, regardless of the size of the space.
I also recognize that communication is the cornerstone of successful relationships—both personal and professional. By listening carefully to my clients' needs, I am able to thoughtfully translate their vision into a cohesive design that exceeds expectations. This collaborative approach ensures that the design process is smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free for everyone involved.
Upon graduating from Vanderbilt University, I began my career in the residential construction business. I was a general contractor for a small, thriving company for ten years in my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky while also working as a real estate agent, selling my client’s homes as well as the homes I built. When I moved to Chicago, I gained invaluable experience on several large downtown projects. Working as a trim superintendent on a townhome project, I managed the construction process from the drywall stage to completion. After this project, I transitioned to the “pretty” side of construction where I managed the selection process on a number of downtown high rises. Being a liaison between the buyers and construction companies on different projects, I navigated the buyers’ finish selection desires with the contractors’ limitations. I have a great understanding of the construction process and have helped create beautiful spaces for my clients over the years. I built my own home in Chicago and worked for an interior designer before starting my family. Throughout my career, I have maintained my real estate license and understand what sells homes. I have stayed involved in my family’s business in Lexington which encompasses both residential and commercial real estate.
Upon moving to Colorado in 2017, my husband and I built our own home. I have been involved in so many facets of residential construction and have developed a keen understanding of residential real estate and construction while also developing a keen eye for design.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, yoga and traveling with my family.
